Shipping Policy

This Shipping Policy explains how Cortleigh & Sumac processes and delivers orders. Delivery times are estimates and may vary according to destination and carrier conditions.

1. Processing Time

Orders are ordinarily processed within 1–3 business days after payment authorization. Business days exclude Saturdays, Sundays and Ontario statutory holidays.

Orders placed after business hours begin processing on the next business day. Processing may take longer during promotions, launches and peak holiday periods.

2. Estimated Canadian Delivery Times

Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area: approximately 2–5 business days after dispatch;
Other Ontario destinations: approximately 3–7 business days after dispatch;
Other Canadian provinces and territories: approximately 4–10 business days after dispatch;
Remote or northern locations: approximately 7–15 business days after dispatch; and
Express delivery, where offered: approximately 1–4 business days after dispatch.

The available delivery methods, charges and current estimates will be displayed at checkout. Unless expressly stated otherwise, delivery dates are estimates rather than guarantees.

3. International Shipping

Where international shipping is available, delivery ordinarily takes approximately 7–21 business days after dispatch. Customs processing, destination-country procedures and local carrier conditions may cause additional delays.

4. Shipping Charges

Shipping charges are calculated or displayed at checkout before payment. Free-shipping promotions are subject to the minimum purchase, destination and other conditions shown with the offer.

5. Tracking

Where tracking is available, we will send a tracking link to the email address associated with the order. Carrier systems may require up to 48 hours after dispatch to display the first scan.

6. Delivery Addresses

Customers must provide a complete and accurate delivery address. Contact us immediately if a correction is required. We cannot guarantee address changes after processing or dispatch.

If a parcel is returned because the customer provided an incorrect or incomplete address, we may charge reasonable redelivery costs. This does not apply where the error was caused by us or our carrier.

7. Delivery Instructions

If you authorize a carrier to leave a parcel unattended, the parcel may be delivered according to those instructions. Any transfer of risk remains subject to applicable consumer law and carrier obligations.

8. Delayed Orders

Delivery may be delayed by severe weather, natural disasters, transport interruptions, carrier congestion, customs procedures, labour disruptions or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Ontario consumers may have statutory cancellation rights where products are not delivered within the period required under applicable consumer-protection legislation.

9. Lost Parcels

If tracking shows a parcel as delivered but you cannot locate it, check the delivery area and contact household members, neighbours, building management and the carrier.

If the parcel remains missing, contact us promptly so that we can investigate. We will provide any remedy required by applicable law.

10. Damaged Parcels

If an order arrives damaged, retain the product and packaging and contact us with your order number and photographs where possible.

11. Duties, Taxes and Customs Charges

Canadian prices are subject to applicable GST/HST and provincial taxes as displayed at checkout.

International customers may be responsible for import duties, taxes, customs charges and brokerage fees imposed by the destination country unless checkout expressly states that these amounts are included.

12. Split Shipments

Products from the same order may be shipped separately. Where this occurs, you may receive multiple tracking numbers. You will not be charged additional delivery fees solely because we split the shipment.
